Day 2 of Awesome: Win a Day After Session

Weddings are wonderful – but in the hustle and bustle of making sure everything is perfect, ensuring guests are entertained and keeping a tab on time, picture time can get cut short.

You know a great way to relieve the stress after your wedding and have a fantastic time?  A Day After Session.

I love day after sessions.  A day after session is kind of like an engagement session, but in your wedding clothes.  You get the chance to get dressed up, spend time with your new spouse  and have a really, really good time. And you end up with more pictures that you love. Day after sessions are quite possibly my favourite thing to shoot. I get the chance to take beautiful portraits and capture the love of amazing people.

I had a day after session myself! You can see my day after photos over at my wedding photographer’s blog here.  My day after photos were even featured on Elizabeth Anne Designs!

Today’s day of awesome is a free day after session. This is open to anyone. It doesn’t matter if your wedding was 10 years ago or is booked for next year. It doesn’t matter if I was your photographer or not. If you want a day after session all you have to do is leave a comment on this post letting me know that you are interested & what your favorite color is.

But I’m going to let you double your chances: if you head over to the NBP facebook page and leave a comment there too, you can get a second entry in the draw. The winner will randomly be selected and announced when the 10 days of awesome wraps up.

Just a few notes on day after sessions –

* Day after sessions rarely, if ever, take place the day after a wedding. They usually take place a few weeks later once all the wedding activities have calmed down.
* You don’t have to get your dress dirty. This doesn’t have to be a trash-the-dress session. But I went into the ocean on my day after session and my 100% silk dress dry cleaned like a dream, so it is okay to relax in the dress.

Here are a few snapshots from previous day after sessions:
